Reincarnation
Reincarnation is the belief
that the spirit comes back to the Earth realm over and over in order
to experience life and fulfill its need to grow. Reincarnation is
very similar to the change of the seasons. The seasons reflect the
exact quality of the laws of reincarnation. They exemplify birth,
growth, death, and rebirth. If the rest of the living world is
bound by the laws of nature, why would we be the exception.
According to Wiccan tradition even god himself and/or herself goes
through a cycle of change. This cycle of reincarnation is what
keeps our spirits growing and helps us to attain a clearer
understanding of who we are, and of our creator.
Reincarnation enforces the idea that we also are
eternal like our creator. Through eons of time, and countless lifetimes,
we are always growing closer to the true understanding of the infinite.
Reincarnation is not just about growth of the spirit. It is a law of
nature. Every living thing goes through these cycles of change and
without these cycles we might never be able to correct the mistakes we may
have made. Reincarnation answers the question of evil in a world created
by a just and loving god. All of life's creatures are at a different
levels of spiritual evolution, but we all have been in their place at one
time or another. And if not, we just may very well be sooner then we
think. Life is too grand to be fully understood in one lifetime, and the
process of evolution solves this problem beautifully.
Through the use of reincarnation
we are given the opportunity to correct any ways we may have gone wrong.
God knows that we will make mistakes, and he has created such a grand and
beautiful plan to let us correct the errors we have made. In the end we
will be as one with our creator, God wants this just as much as you or I.
Through reincarnation we are capable of becoming all that we truly can
be. This truly displays the utterly caring and loving nature of our
creator.
Along with reincarnation comes the
law of karma. Through the law of Karma we are able to reap the rewards of
our hard work from the choices we make. Karma is not meant to be a rule
of judgment, but it is meant to be used as a way of measuring our spirit,
and making sure we learn the lessons we are supposed to. God allows us to
be masters of our own destinies through the freedom of choice. God could
very well wipe out all evil in the world, but in doing so he would be
taking our freedom of choice away from us. God wants us to live, learn,
and love...in that order. They seem to be such simple concepts, but
somehow we keep stumbling across them over and over.
The law of Karma explains exactly
why there is darkness and wrongdoing in the world. The law of
Reincarnation gives us a miraculous way of turning that darkness into
light.
Learning to live is the greatest
challenge yet.
