Dignified:
The
Nine of Swords represents devastating stress and overpowering
frustration. As a result of this type of frustration, sleeplessness and
poor physical health can occur. The Nine represents worrying to the
extent that one can no longer function to the best of their ability.
While a healthy consideration of the negative possibilities can help
avoid making bad decisions, dwelling on the negative is a waste of
energy and will only cause added stress to the situation. The Nine of
Swords can also represent someone who is extremely critical and overly
controlling. The Nine of Swords advises us not to get caught up in our
own worries and frustrations. One can only do so much to remedy or
correct an ailing situation and the rest should be left up to life or
fate to decide. A realistic look at the good and the bad of the
situation is the only thing that can help to overcome the problems at
hand.
Ill-Dignified:
In a
reversed position the Nine of Swords represents carelessness,
thoughtlessness, and a tendency to be flighty and erratic about a given
situation. It also represents a tendency to blame others for the
failing of decisions that we have made on our own.
