Characteristics of a Good Spiritual
Reading
We've all heard the old saying, "A
tarot reading is only as good as the reader who gives it", but the funny
thing is its absolutely true. So how can you distinguish between a
good reader and an amateur? There are many important things to look for
in a reader, but most importantly follow your intuition, it will lead you
to the correct source. The following is a list of ideas to help you on
your search for a reader or spiritualist.
Most importantly... Don't get
ripped off. Prices should be up front and reasonable.
Use common sense, paying in upwards of $4.99 or $5.99 a minute is
just simply ridiculous. Higher prices for a reading most
definitely does not guarantee you a good reading. Look at
the way the reader handles themselves. Do they seem to put quality
time into their work or are they taking on too many clients and giving
less then their best when doing readings. A good presence usually
indicates a good reader.
Don't let a high
call rating deceive you into thinking your
getting a good reader. Read the comments that other clients
have left. A lot of callers on Keen will prompt people into
leaving ratings for them only so they can manage their way onto the
front page of listings (i.e. free advertising and more business.)
While there is nothing wrong with wanting more business if you can
handle it, prompting ratings is just not the most ethical practice.
Prompting clients for a five star rating or offering free minutes for a
higher rating is unethical and unfair to the people who really are doing
a genuinely good job. You can be certain that Intuitive Tarot will
never prompt a client for a rating and that all feedback is
genuinely left from our clients own free will. Excessively high ratings
without proper comments usually indicates someone who has taken on more
then they can spiritually handle and indicates someone who prompts every
caller for a rating. If your looking for fast food that's
exactly what you are going to get.
A good reader will always be
confident in what they are telling you, and they will also let you
know when they are not clear on something. Believe it or not,
different readers will know different things about you. Each
reader is unique, and they may concentrate on different areas then what
another reader might.
A good reader will stay close to the "present" when
they talk to you about different areas. A genuine reader should want to
help you with your current situations, and help you to make the best
choices. Not everything in your future is set in stone, every choice
you make on a day to day basis, will change the outcome of certain
situations. Be wary of readers who predict "doomsday" clouds around you
and your only way out is to buy one of their "expensive and outrageous"
miracle cures.
Use common sense when purchasing candles, or
ritual items from psychics or tarot readers. Although, there may be items you
might want to consider purchasing, a spiritualist should tell you that
the best materials, and rituals are put together by you, and only you.
Rituals (such as candle burning, spell casting, etc.) are truly only a
means to help you focus energy for your prayer or intent. The reader
should also be willing to give you advice on creating tools and rituals
for yourself, should you so desire. Some readers may even share some of
their own personal contacts that they use to obtain materials.
Understand that all tarot readers are not psychic.
This is where a lot of people get confused. If a tarot reader is
psychic, they should state this fact immediately, and if they don't, you
should ask them. The reader, or spiritualist should also inform you of
the exact method they use to get the information they are sharing with
you (i.e. tarot cards, runes, spirit guides, or what ability or source
they use).
A good reader should ask you some questions, to help
clarify certain situations. However, be wary of readers or psychics who
ask too many questions, and want to log any of your personal information
into a computer. Believe it or not, a lot of 900 services log your
reading into their computer after the call is complete. They then share
the information about your call to whomever you call on their network
the next time, making it seem like their "employees" are genuinely
psychic.
Above all else, use your intuition and common sense.
You will absolutely know if you are connecting with a particular reader
or not. Don't be afraid to interrupt the reader and
tell them your just not connecting with them. Remember... your the
one paying for time.
